PUNE: Gaurika Bishnoi continued to keep her challengers at bay to lead in both the Ladies and Category A events at the end of the second round at the Usha IGU Western India Ladies and Junior Girls Amateur Golf Championship 2014, held at the par-71 Poona Club Golf Course.
The Delhi golfer carded a three-over 74 to aggregate 150, giving her a three-stroke lead over Ridhima Dilawari, who returned a card of 75. Seher Atwal rallied very well with 75 to snatch the third slot from Anisha Padukone, with an aggregate of 154.
Gaurika had birdies on the ninth and 14th holes, but the rest of the round wasn’t too great. Nevertheless, none of the challengers were in a position to cause worry to her.
The same three golfers were also on top in Category A.
In Category B, Diksha Dagar, with 81 (aggregate 159), stayed ahead of Arshia Mahant (81) and 162 and Sifat Sagoo at (83) 167.
Category C saw Tanishka Kumar of Uttar Pradesh score 80 to stay ahead with a total of 161, ahead of Jahanvi Bakshi (163) and Anika Verma (165).
