October 1 2015, Chennai, India: Servion Global Solutions, specialist in delivering Customer Interaction Management solutions and enhancing customer interactions across touch points, today announced the commencement of their CSR initiative ”Paripalan” with tree plantations in and around Dr. VSI Estate, Thiruvanmiyur. The initiative is a volunteer based CSR model driven by Servion employees.
‘Paripalan’ is a Sanskrit word that means ‘nurture’. True to its name, the vision of Paripalan is to focus on sustainability with a strong emphasis on education and the environment for a better tomorrow. Inspired by the vision of Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, Servion has taken up the task of planting and nurturing flora to establish a sustainable and greener future. Employee volunteers, being brand ambassadors of the cause, are aggressively and consistently communicating the cause of afforestation in their respective circles.
Servion partnered with Nizhal, a Chennai based NGO with vision to green urban areas with focus on regenerating biodiversity. Nizhal researched the bio-diversity of the area and recommended specific species of plants to ensure a holistic tree plantation drive with focus on sustainability.
In line with Servion’s CSR philosophy which emphasizes in holistic development of the society to ensure a sustainable and a safe future for next generation, the employee volunteers of the organization will continue to implement the initiative in multiple phases, while also expanding into the horizons of Child Education as a cause.
