The actor will present to the audience the first song from his much awaited sports biopic, ‘Dangal’ on the occasion of Children’s Day.
The song ‘Baapu Tu Sehat Ke Liye Hanikarak hai’ is an ode to children’s sentiments towards fathers.
Written by Amitabh Bhattacharya and composed by Pritam, the song is penned like an anthem where the children are telling their father that “you are not good for our health.”
They are telling their father that he is too strict and military like in making them follow the strict regime.
Shot in Ludhiana, the song is a representation of all the emotions undergone by the little hearts on being coaxed to achieve higher goals.
Aamir will launch the song on the November 12, along with on-screen daughters Geeta and Babita, i.e Zaira Wasim and Suhani Bhatnagar, with director Nitesh Tiwari in tow.
Speaking about the song, spokesperson of the film shares, “Hanikarak’ brings to the forefront the rigorous journey that led to the making of a female Olympic medal winner. The song beautifully encapsulates the feelings of Geeta and Babita towards their father (Mahavir Singh Phogat) during their training phase.”
