Annual Arts Festival organized by Canadian International School (CIS) Bangalore


Bangalore, 16th March, 2017: Canadian International School (CIS) Bangalore organized its Annual Arts Festival on 16th March. “Art beyond limitation” was the theme this year with Kindergarten & Elementary School students learning a range of activities from painting like Michelangelo, painting with foot, marble painting, and a Musical workshop (created musical instruments), to pottery sessions, an art fair and a Parent Child Activity with bubbles.

The Secondary school had various scheduled events planned over the week, which kicked off with Music performances, Monologues, theatre performance, Solo theatre pieces, a Shakespeare workshop, the IB2 collaborative theatre Piece and ended with CIS Family BBQ with an awesome band performance by the Rock Band “Salvation Creed”.

The school also provided a platform for various artists whose objectives were to revive the arts and crafts and support folk and traditional artisans and the underprivileged.

Speaking at the event, Shweta Sastri, Executive Director, said “Witnessing the Festival of Arts this year was a treat! Our students are really talented and showcased their flair for visual and performing arts. We had 4 days dedicated to celebrating the arts and ended the festival with our Family BBQ which was very well received”
